Trudy Sullivan,  President and Chief Executive Officer of The Talbot's Inc.

President and Chief Executive Officer

Trudy F. Sullivan was named President and Chief Executive Officer of The Talbots, Inc. on August 6, 2007.  She oversees all aspects of the Company’s business, including strategic direction and initiatives for the Talbots and J. Jill brands.  She is also a member of the Company’s Board of Directors. 

With 35 years of retailing and merchandising experience, Sullivan joined Talbots with a strong knowledge of the specialty retail sector from her previous leadership roles at both Liz Claiborne, Inc. and J. Crew Group, Inc.  As the former President of Liz Claiborne, she was responsible for building and leading multiple apparel and non-apparel men’s and women’s brands.  Her extensive merchandising career began in Boston, where she started as a Buyer for Jordan Marsh and then Filene’s.

Sullivan has been active in a number of organizations supporting the health and welfare of women throughout her career.  She served as a member of the Executive Women in Fashion Advisory Board at the Fashion Institute of Technology for many years, and has been honored by the YWCA-NYC Academy of Women Leaders and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation of New York. 

After many years of living in Manhattan, Sullivan recently relocated back to Boston where she currently resides with her husband, Michael.  They have two daughters.

Van service from Logan Airport to hotels or campus: Call Gray Van Express at (888) 222-5229 in advance (48-72 hrs.) to make a reservation. Takes about 35 minutes and costs $35 for one person ($10 each additional person).

On Campus Accommodations for the weekend: $50 per person, per night:  Housing will be in new traditional two person rooms with a bathroom shared by two rooms.  A full kitchen and lounge area are available.

From the north/south: Follow Route 128/I-95 and take exit 24 to Route 30 east (Commonwealth Avenue) and go 1.4 miles. Turn right onto Cheswick Road.

From the west: Go east on the Mass. Pike. Take exit 14 to Route 128/I-95 north, then exit 24 to Route 30 east (Commonwealth Avenue). Go 1.4 miles. Turn right onto Cheswick Road.

From the east: Go west on the Mass. Pike. Take exit 16 to Route 16 west (Washington Street). Go .7 of a mile and turn right on Commonwealth Avenue. Turn left onto Cheswick Road.

Leaving the campus:  Proceed north on Woodland Road crossing over the Mass. Pike and turn left onto Auburn Street.  Go four blocks, and at the light, turn left onto Commonwealth Avenue and there are entrances to the Mass. Pike and Rt. 128/I-95.
