At Lasell, we're more than a College, we're a community. That's why when one of our own is in need, we rally together to push them forward. Here, no one is left behind.

Each year, some of our students must deal with circumstances in their lives that may jeopardize their continued membership in the Lasell Community. With that in mind, the Student Emergency Fund (SEF) was established through the generosity of Lasell alumna Shirley Fan-Chan '94, and together with the Lasell community, funds have been set aside as a means of assisting undergraduate students who encounter an unanticipated financial emergency.

Examples of emergency situations that could be funded include:

  • A change in circumstance due to a natural disaster
  • Medical needs
  • Loss of financial resources
  • A change in a domestic living situation

The SEF has the ability to provide limited, financial assistance for students whose basic needs and/or ability to function as a student, are in jeopardy of being adversely affected.
